Yes i can do so, though it might look "silly" to attach table tripod to a tripod: but if it works with a tripod then why not with a monopod too. Could take some time though... bought today via internet a mini tripod Giottos QU 500B. Max load 5kg and closed lenght 13.4cm so it will not add so much lenght to a monopod. Might still need to buy also a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter that is about 1cm long or longer.
Anyway, SUS: could you look at your Gitzo monopod that does it use 3/8 ("9mm") thread for the foot connection?
