I like it. The only thing I would say is that I think the big cloud is just a little bit too dominant and draws too much attention away from the rest of the scene.

No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

thanks for commenting.....for me the cloud is an important element in the shot, it creates the shadow line across the horizon that helps to draw the view forwards.

Very nice! Impressive clarity, and I like the tones too (is that a duo, tri, or quad tone?). Really peaceful image to view.

thanks Cobra....the tones and clarity come from a light tonemapping in Photomatix, I discovered a while ago that IR images respond very well to this, it produces a kind of warm metalised tone with improved contrast and detail.

Very interesting information about running them through Photomatix. I'll have to give that a shot, I really like how it came out after having this done. Thanks for the tip!

I love the massive cloud. It makes me kinda full of joy for some reason, satisfied almost. Then my eye drops down to the road and I have this huge love of traveling western Canada through the mountains, it's a real feeling of contentment and memory, almost hopeful too.

I'd love to buy a big print of this if you offered it.

Love the colours in this! And to me, the massive cloud is a major asset to the photo. All big and looking floaty, love it!
