Don’t think I’ve ever seen any posted photos of European youth individual or team sports in the Sharing form. Surely youths on that side of the pond play sports. Is it common for schools to have teams? Or is it mostly only club sports. And why no photos?

From what I've been reading in alot of these threads, is that it is illegal or very frowned upon to be shooting kids (minors) on the "other side of the pond".

In Europe, they have clubs for their sports. We're similar over here in Australia. We have school sports too but it's nowhere near as important as in the US, everything is by club.

I can answer for Norway, we don't have school-teams, only through different clubs, most common is soccer and handball and a lot of people workout at a gym. Aerobics, spinning or just weighttraining. In the winther people go skiing and in the summer people go hiking. Im not sure of this, but if there are spectators at a soccermatch between two teams with 16 yearolds they probably are parents or teammates.

Of course we have other sports as basketball, volleyball, icehockey etc.

Yes, we have youth sports and yes, I photograph some of them as photographer for the sport's governing body. I am concious, however, of the terms under which I take such photographs and the terms under which the young peoples parents have signed waivers allowing them to be photographed. Those terms don't include displaying the shots on photographic forums.

Ironically, if I wasn't shooting the photos "officially", I'd be free to display them where ever I wished.
