Mar 13, 2009 21:08 | #5 PP= some cloning (the dock had two long poles that had to go), a lil bit of NR in the sky/water and a lil bit of saturation.

I investigated the B &W filters, and didn't you have to combine two to get the 10stop down? I think that if you took a little off the top it would bring the bottom up a bit and rid of some blank sky space....good efforts for early morning!! Bill

Mar 14, 2009 10:38 | #12 Okay thnx again for the feedback, here's a cropped version as suggested.........any better?
psyco- I came up with 186s based on a rough estimate of the metered reading I was getting (1/10th iirc) and stopped down 10 steps to counter the ND filter. Why not just shoot w/out filter? I did that too but I wanted to get that soft look in the water and the feel of movement in the sky which couldnt be achieved at the time I took the image w/out overexposing the shot. BTW it was actually underexposed a lil bit, but I shot in RAW so I was able to pull two stops to save it somewhat.

Mar 14, 2009 11:08 | #13 Very nice; I liked that crop version best. It seems to draw your eye into the photo more and really accent the wide angle perspective of the dock.
