So many wonderful posts, I don't know how to start...

But Phil and Lester, I must say that it's great to see you still in here, adding to what will always be a very special and personal thread to me, and, I hope, to many other POTN members too, over the years.

I'm afraid that after I sold all my Canon gear and basically pulled away from being a "semi-pro concert photographer", I hardly ever come to POTN :-(

Really should correct that....

But, my kindest regards to all.

Simon

Glad to hear from you once again.
Sold yer kit did ya? Hmm, I hope you still get out to the occasional show my friend.

True Bob, was visiting my mothers grave and decided to have a wander around, didn't know that a corner of the cemetery was dedicated the very young. Very sad sight, nearly never took the pic, and wouldn't have if anyone was around. There's a whole lot of headstones with teddies, toys, etc.

Thanks so much.....
Yes, well, in a nutshell I was fed up with my wife's acquaintances expecting pro work for cheap!
In the end, it was easier to just sell everything that 'looks' pro :p
Now, they don't ask me.

I've found that my Olympus bodies and m4/3 lenses can do 95% or more of what my Canon gear could do, but for 1/4 of the price and weight!
So I'm happy several times over. :-)

"Whatever you do, enjoy yourself...otherwise, what's the point."
6D/7D and ALL Canon/Sigma gear SOLD!!!! Now: Olympus PEN EP-5 & OM-D EM-5 Mk2 and 8 lenses!

25% of the wight you say?
Hmmm....
Nah, then I'd have to do some other form of weight training.
