This is the Terlingua Ghost Town Cemetery, near the west entrance to Big Bend National Park, in far west Texas, close to the border of Mexico. Used to be a thriving mercury mining town from 1888 to 1940, now a tourist destination. The locals are a bit different out that-a-ways. The cemetery still accepts new 'tenants'.:-)

Not looked in for a while, but from the bottom of my heart, thanks to everyone who's posting to this thread, and keeping it 'alive'.

Since my father involuntarily became a permanent 'addition' to the thread in October 2009, it took on a whole other, intensely personal meaning.

So wherever you are, my best wishes for a happy Christmas, and a much better 2022 than the last couple of years.

Bye for now,
Simon

Nice to see you're still among us, Simon, and blessings to you and yours as well.
Hoping to see more of you going forward.

Thanks so much for the kind words.

TBH, I was introduced to video editing a handful of years ago, and the challenge just got right into me!!!
Since then, I rarely take stills.

But of course, there's no actual reason why I can't :-D

So I'll just say au revoir :-)

Wow, thanks for the old photo Jane's grave. Looks like the iron fence was added after '71.
