Has me thinking on whether we'll be encountering such conflicts in my lifetime,

The gravestones of the Kvilda cemetery, which was liquidated in 1978, have been returned to this place of remembrance in an effort to come to terms with the past. Kvilda Municipality - August 2002

One of my ancestors lies here. The inscription reads; MUSN, Rob't Campbell, 1ST PA REG'T, CONT'L LINE, REV WAR.
From what research my cousin was able to do, the person was 13 years of age when he joined General Washington's Army at the final battle of the war at Yorktown, Virginia. Musician is Fife and Drum Corps. They were the communications of the time and when not engaged in battle helped with supply and with assisting cooks or medical staff. He probably marched in the victory parade in Philadelphia in September of 1783.
I had to edit the photo a lot to be able to read it as it was, of course, heavily weathered. And this makes me what they call "A Son of the Revolution." I have been called worse, I assure you, LOL.
