A friend of mine is getting rid of a lens and asked if i wanted it cheap, it's the Canon 70-300 which i have read is possibly the worst lens Canon ever made, but thought i would give it a try. Haven't given him the money yet but i was reasonably pleased with the results today.

First time trying this sort of thing. C+C welcome :)

i like them, you should pay the man and keep the lens as it seems like you have a use for it ?

Thanks, that's true actually Paul A, he shoots pretty much all of the time in green box mode, never uses post production and has just upgraded to a 50D, 100-400L and another L which i can't remember the range of. :o

I'll go take some bad ones and offer him less......

He wants £80 for the lens, a cheap soft bag for it, a UV filter and another filter. not sure what it is, it says PL on the side of it?

Is that a good deal?

Edit - i'm a fool, it's the 75-300, not 70-300!!

PL is probably a polarising filter, the shots indicate it's a pretty fair lense so go for it.
