I'm going to go with the 1.8 just for monetary reasons. I would love the 1.2 but figure I could buy the 85 1.8, 17-40L, and 135L for about $200 more than just the 85 1.2.

Edit: Make that $120 more.

how you like the Tokina 10-17 with the 5D? i'm contemplating selling it to get a 85 1.8.

I haven't tried and actually thought I couldn't. The Tokina 10-17 is a DX lens and I've heard some stories about the Full Frame 5D sensor would hit the len's glass and shatter it. I'm pretty sure that's what I read or I could be completely wrong

for those of you who has purchased refurbs from Andorama, did any of you purchase the additional 2 yr warranty for $70? if so, is it worth it?

I'm still debating, they told me I didn't have to purchase it right away.
Seems like a pretty good deal, considering the refurbs are increasing in price. I wouldn't want to have to buy another.

Yeah, but now you don't have to worry about it.

Peace of mind is priceless. I know, I just bought insurance for all of my gear.
