Yes the part number is the same, as it will replace the old one.

I find the explanation unlikely to begin with as the port on the RX/Ranger RX is just that a port, it's not a receiver in it self.

Regardless it's on it's way and will be available soon at dealers in Europe.

I know, I thought it was odd myself, but oh well, it did come from them.

How and where did you hear or read about it?

I heard it from the Nordic Agent. It's been listed on their website for a while as well.

I am still trying to decide on a bag for my quadra kit.

Can some of you post some pics of your bag with the quadra inside. I am looking at the Kata 3n1 and the Lowepro Nova 200. I am thinking that the Kata is a little bigger (room for expansion?)

The Nova isn't comfortable to carry over a longer distance, it's more of a transport bag. The Kata is much more versatile, and more comfortable to carry.

I use 3 different rollerbags from Think Tank (Logistics, Security 2.0, Airstream) which one(s) depends on how much gear i need with me.

Here's the Lowepro Omni Trekker with the standard 2-head kit (plus the RQ-EL adapter). It's a great fit:

Here it is with the 7" Quadra reflector and grid, one standard reflector, both standard cables plus an extension, and two deflectors. It fits but it's a little snug around the 7" reflector.

According to the manual there is no memory effect and can be charged from mid way. Also it warns not to let the battery stay empty for longer periods of time. :)

From my experience of 1 years use of Quadra RX the batteries still feel like new. :)

Yes, there is 3.5mm sync port on Quadra. So as long as your trigger have 3.5mm plug it will work. Personally I have rf602 for my speedlites. I have used them with Quadra but they are no better than skyport in my opinion so I don't use them often.
