Weird, i guess we all have our methods. I do it above my head, like an umbrella.

I'm not as coordinated as you I gues... lol

Funny i thought that was the preferred way too. Without either baffle attached, i grab the mounting ring from inside, put it above my head (effectively, wearing it like a hat), while gripping hte mounting ring from inside, i pull up the snap locks into place. Been working fine so far. Granted the DO is much more rigid than the 69" box is.

That's how I do it and after a lot of playing around I find it to be the easiest way to assemble or disassemble the Elinchrom modifiers.

Myself and others have posted that method before in other threads Mario. I think it might have been in one of Jannie's threads. You must have been absent that day. :D

really like the hard light quality from those stock tiny reflectors. By the way - I heard that Photek Softlighter fits EL heads. Not in my house ;(

sorry if the colors and other things are off - I am using a 7 year old LCD monitor (my good one died 2 days a ago) worst thing ever... these are test snaps anyway (say hello to my better half)

Misha - welcome to the Q-club ;) ...yes the stock reflectors aren't bad at all especially when you need higher power outdoors under the sun

Woot ranger here now. Cant wait to play properly.

I was under the impression that a pack and head would come with a standard reflector, it seems not... So now need to sort that out.

Unless anyone here got a reflector with the pack???

Yep, and then you get the Varistar reflector with the Varistar umbrella, plus the 7" grid reflector (this is very similar to the 8" grid (or "standard") reflector, just smaller).

Part of me wishes id gone for the full kit, but no bother, ill just go grab a couple of reflectors 2mo hopefully and start to have a play with the toys.

Im very glad I went skyport as everyone said to, the power adjustments via the hotshoe I can see being very very useful.
