Hello All,

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my watermark action to work properly.

I made my design in PS and saved it as a .psd. I run the action but the watermark is not always in the same place in each picture (i.e. in the corners).

Here's the action sequence:

fit image (1000x1000)
image size (resolution 100)
select previous document (watermark)
copy
select next document (current picture)
paste
transform current layer (move to the proper location and resize)
flatten image

Each picture has been PP and cropped to the way I like it. Say i wanted the watermark to be in the bottom right corner. Not all will be there. Some will be halfway on the right side. Could this be due to the fact that the image has been cropped or am I doing this totally wrong?

TIA

Instead of copy/paste use image -> place. To get it into the correct place select the background layer and the watermark layer and use layer -> align -> bottom then layer -> align -> right (or whatever). If things come out the wrong size check your your ppi.

I did an action exactly like you want to, and it works perfectly. Lets see if you can understand me hehe.

So before making the action I started by doing the watermark itself. I made it a .gif so it could keep its transparency. (be sure to save it in a place where you NEVER change it) Then I start recording the action.

1.I have my photo (the one I want the watermark to be put) and I open the .gif file of my watermark.

2.Now I have selected the watermark file. Ctrl+A to select the whole document and then Ctrl+C.

3.Paste it in the document of your picture.

4.Then I select both layers, background and watermark and in the aligning options in the top I align it to the bottom center.

5.After that I simply move the watermark with the arrow keys to the desired location and then close the .gif file. (Remember that you must approve the movement by clicking in the checkmark that will appear on the top for the movement to register.)

6.Now flatten the image and stop recording the action.

Hope you can understand me because if you do, and follow every step, you will get an action that WILL work with any photo you have, no matter its size.
