That would be one key difference. I've seen several comparisons between the Sigma and the Canon 100-400mm but I don't think I've seen many reviews of the Tamron. dpreview.com might have a shoot-out which includes it IIRC. But Sigma has only 1 year warranty, Tamron with 6 years warranty. 5DsR, Rokinon FE 12 mm f/2.8, Canon 35 II f/1.4, Sigma 50mm f/1.4, MP-E 65mm,Canon 85mm f/1.4 L IS, Canon macro 100mm f/2.8, Canon 17-40mm f/4.0 L,Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L, Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L, 580ex II.

I'm used to carry it now, but it takes some time to get used to it. Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D

I don't have experience with the Sigma zooms but have also heard very good things about them. Dave

That kinda sucks if you live in the states. It's wierd isn't it? http://imraptor.deviantart.com/
