Not a special edition from Ford so to speak, but special edition for that area or particular dealership. I'm in Texas and some of the local dealers have put together some retro style packages that make them look like older Mach 1's and Boss Mustangs. Very cool none the less though.

That's what I figured. I have seen the shaker kit from a couple of aftermarket companies and did not think Ford made any special editions except for the bullitt for 09 with the new body style coming out.

Ford has entertained the idea for a limited run of a Boss and Mach 1 model run in 2010/2011 possibly.

I have heard rumors of those, my bet is the Boss will be after (if) they bring the newly designed 5.0 back.

Some information on the shop that customized these particular Mustangs. They're located a few miles south of the dealership.

Nice shot!

my bumper replacement

:D 5 minutes after I asked my cousins wife if I'd left enough room in the driveway for her to get through, she came into their house & told me she'd hit my bumper! 1 scratch = $1,100.

cool shot...though I wish you'd taken it w/ a wider aperture to drop the ho-hum cars in the background

Thanks! I knew I'd see you in here. I expected a little anti-pony sentiment though. ;) :P

Ouch! My bumper was fixed at no cost (sorta) because I bought it with a gash in it with the condition that they replace the bumper after winter (in case I got rearended). They outsource their body work but installed it themselves. IMO the body shop did a good job at making it not look like a replacement....ie the paint blends fairly well. Not perfect, but I've seen worse. Old paint will never look like new paint anyway.

Thanks. That's the widest my Fuji F40fd will go at that focal length though.

No they won't. Not in this economy. They need sales, not bad press. Besides, they'd just get a $150 P&S anyway. I don't have any kids. ;)

Probably not. I was referring to this whole mess though:

I understand the whole calendar thing has been resolved, although they are still not allowed to use the Ford logo, but I find it interesting that it got this far in the first place. Seeing that big Ford logo in your picture just reminded me of it.

As an old Mopar fan, I always liked Mustangs, and also like the new reborn version. I think Ford did an excellen job, in contrast to the horrid mid '80's awfullness that went on for awhile
