I saw the $8 ebay ones and I know the E1 needs a grip to work. I saw the camdapter but I think it only fits the xt. Anyone?

I can't believe no one came up with a system like this. The strap works pretty good. The problem is for it to work extremely well it needs to be pretty tight. But at that tight setting, you can't really access the wheel and iso button. Still in the end it's much better than a neck strap or free hand. What I really enjoy is that fine leather smell which takes me back to my childhood when I we made leather belts and such. LA Wedding photographer

You must remove your strap every time you want to take your battery out. With the camdapter plate, there is no need to ever remove it even for tripod mount. LA Wedding photographer
