seems everyone is wearing the tall hats now

Nice hats. I saw bits of the St. Patricks day parade in NY and there were quite a few of those hats also. Must be a new trend here.

my sister is over in NY at the moment and was at the parade
I saw a lot of it on TV here that evening. love to see the big bands and marching
over here we have so many parades on St. Patrick's Day parts of them all are shown on the TV later on the news. every town wanting to see their own I guess. many many children take part and eveyone goes to a lot of trouble. the weather was glorious this year too
many from abroad take part especially in the Big Dublin parade
also many visitors are visiting the country and watching all
must take an awful lot of camera men to record each town's parade as mostly they all start at the very same time. in each town

and then there is the rush to get all ready for the news time on National TV that evening

almost like a fast forward parade in itself
