I decided to try a more controlled stacking test since my first try wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Here are a couple of shots from the second try last night. I used CombineZM for these. They were from a small store bought bouquet of flowers. Comments welcome!

Looks great! What is a stacking test? I am new to macro photography and have never heard of that before.

Thanks for the comment! I admit I'm still getting used to the concept of "stacking". In short, you take multiple images of the same subject with slightly different focus points and then use software to combine the images to get a greater depth of field than could be gotten with a single macro photo. LordV here on the forum is a master of the technique and has created many stunning images. You can see some of his work here (external link). He even has some pix of stacking and CombineZM there.

I'm still learning the software, so these were stacked without any other adjustments from me. As I learn to use it better, I hope to come up with even cleaner "stacks".

Thanks! I will have to look into that technique!

Good ones :)
minor point- you have left the stacking borders in the shot - either looks like a reflection or has odd stripes around the edges :)
