I just got a Canon 1D, which is a 1.3x crop factor; falling between the normal 1.6x sensors on most crop bodies and FF cameras; and I'm not sure what would be a suitable fisheye or UWA lens for this specific camera.

I mainly shoot sports eg,. skateboarding, and, pending my budget, am trying to find a suitable UWA for this, so if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to get back at me haha.

Thanks.

UWA...it's tough. I used the 17-40L, but it's really better suited to full frame, thought it's still plenty wide on the 1D (equiv to 21-50mm on full frame). You could also try the 14L if you're into primes, or the Sigma 15-30 or 12-24, which will be crazy wide. Also, for a regular UWA, the Tokina 11-16 works on the 1D from 13-16mm, which will be very wide for you.

On the fisheye front...that's easy: Tokina 10-17 fisheye zoom. it is the ONLY fisheye in existence that will give you a full 180 degree FOV, without black corners. Just set it to 12.5mm and enjoy wonderful fishy goodness. It will vignette below 12.5, but from 12.5 to 17, it's perfectly usable, and has no vignetting whatsoever. And, like I said, it's a full 180 degrees corner to corner at 12.5mm. I use mine on my 1DsII at 15mm to get the same thing.
