Your son is a cutie (yea old pics but he's still cute I bet!)

Autistic kids can be hard ones to crack .... I know! My oldest is autistic and when I get photos like these:
QUOTED IMAGE
QUOTED IMAGE
QUOTED IMAGE
QUOTED IMAGE

I feel like i won the lotto because of the eye contact and connectedness between subject (my son) and photographer (me).

and all of your kids are so sweet!

Thanks... Nice shots of your son too...

These are all great shots, I'm the proud father of a son with ASD/Aspergers. Here's a shot that I was able to get him smiling...

Cute boy... Does he like his hair that short? My son would be bald if mom let him--though he does like the sensation of rubbing his short hair...lol

Love Montreal... but Whitby is pretty nice too... That shooting the other day was scary though...

These pictures are so beautiful of these amazing children. I’m 27 and fell in love with photography two years ago when my son was diagnosed with autism. It was so hard watching him struggle and have a break down because something as small as the way the photography tried to get him to smile, while his sister stood proud next to him.

I might take 1000 pictures of him and only one is a keeper, but that one means more than anything else in the world. Parents of children with disabilities are the strongest people I have ever met.

My son Justen with his elephant.

At first I don't think he liked it (nor I...It was Mom's idea). But He did like the feel of running his hands through it, so that was in a way another therapy for him so it ended up working out well :)

Tactile sensations are so important to these kids... All the best!

It's been a couple of years since I posted my photo of Brie in a reflective mood. She is now 13 and has improved well socially since her move to high school. She is only mildly affected by Aspergers and in most counts is a normal teenage girl day to day but her issues have always been mainly in the learning and decision making areas.

Here is the latest shot I have, climbing trees with her sister.

Wow Wardie... hard to believe she is only 13! She looks very confident in this shot. Thanks for sharing.
