These vultures are amazing ..where are they ? The croc is gone ...whoa. They are very common here in south florida and something of a hazzard at times, Iv'e come very close to have a couple come through the wind shield while driving on rt 41. They are a little reluctant to get off the roadkill and kind of slow getting into the air when they do. This gator wasn't roadkill though he was by the side of a canal in Fakahtchee state forrest, no idea what killed him hunters or natural causes. 70D/24-105L

Great shot. ![]() thanks for the compliment but I doubt he froze, we had a couple of cold snaps but these guys usually get through those O.K. I didn't examine the gator closely but I would not be suprised if lead poisoning was not the cause of death. Every signpost, birdbox and state information sign in the area is riddled with holes so I would not be suprised if he was the victim of some target practice too. 70D/24-105L
