XSI+ $750CAD + accessories= 50D, worth it?

in cragslist, a person offer me $750CAD + my accesories (LCD protector, 2 additional battery + 16GB SD card) in exchange of 50D?

His 50D is less than 1 month old, mine is since August 2008 w/ 82XX clicks

I understand noise level wise I won't see a lot of changes.
But is it worth it?

I don't think its worth it for 750 on top of your XSI.

Not worth it. Maybe +500, but even then I probably wouldn't do it.

Yea, I probably keep my XSi, I find 12mp very capable of deliver brilliant image I want, and noise can be reduced almost entirely through DxO Optics pro.

And the light weight helps easing my shoulder pain when I carry my camera all day long (to work, or lunch, anytime).

It sounds like the bigger camera would be worse for you. If you want to spend the $$, buy some new lenses, or a flash.

750 bucks!! on top of that. That's what a new 50D is. Trade the XSI and accessories +100 at the MOST. Nuts.

How abt $650 CAD? Would you guys consider if so......

I'd buy a 40D and keep the XSi before I made that deal.

Is the 50D body only? Fairly recently, I sold my XSi, Nifty Fifty, BG-E5 grip, extra canon battery, Sandisk Extreme III 8gb SDHC, Sandisk Ultra II 4gb SDHC and then picked up a like new 50D (body only) with 3500 clicks and extra 3 yr Sagemax (B&H) warranty-- I think that it cost me about $250-350 more after selling the XSi stuff.

That having been said, I think the 50D's have come down in a little price but maybe the XSi prices have moved down too.

I'm extremely happy with the upgrade. To be honest, I find the overall IQ fairly comparable (of course the 50D has more MP) but enjoy the ergonomics of the 50D (better size and weight for me- I found the XSi too small and the XSi with grip too large) and the additional ISO capabilities.

what about the faster auto focusing and that new hi res screen mhj202?

Okay- yes the screen is nice but I wasn't trying to detail every difference in the two cameras; just highlighting a couple of factors that mattered to me most.
