Many of the local photographers average around $1.5-$3k; some are worth it, some are not. stathunter wrote in post #7561598 Holy Crap! You are budget............... -----------you need to raise your prices. You need to sell the value in what you do-- not give it away......just my opinion.Yes but I'm actually not the least expensive out here. Also, the day I can honestly say, "I'd hire me" is the day I increase my rates in some significant way. I've bumped up the first hour a few times, but the normal hourly rate hasn't moved since I started about a year ago. But at this point, I wouldn't hire me. I have high standards; I'd hire marcus bell, john michael cooper, that emil guy from NY on this forum...but not me. Las Vegas Wedding Photographer: http://www.joeyallenphoto.com

My assistant has a degree, she's way brighter and better than most graduates i've met, and I still know a lot more than her about the technical side of photography. She probably knows more about history and related bollocks though. Professional wedding photographer, solution architect and general technical guy with multiple Amazon Web Services certifications.
