Lettuce, 7.2x

Got my extension tubes and with a 17mm lens reversed in front of it, I'm getting around 7.2x magnification. I was told thats almost enough to make out cells. You tell me. I'm linking the original size as well so you can scope it out if you want.

Which tubes are you using?

Just some 55mm tubes I found on ebay for $9, including shipping. I'm definitely getting more of em! It's kinda hard to hand hold at 7x though (the lettuce shot was hand held), I'm gonna have to make some sort of rig.

Well I can certainly see plant cells in the pic - good one
Try some flower petals- the cells are often very big

I'm pressing some lettuce and flower petals as we speak I'm trying to eliminate the blurry bumps by flattening the focal plane of the subject.
