my best deal was just last weekend. picked up the sigma 10-20 or I believe called the wigma for an old push lawnmower and 40 bucks to fill up her tank. came with a hoya filter and a B+w circular polarizer filter, which, for some reason I guess it's like 150 in itself.

Thought I'd revive this...

I got a gripped 5D and 70-200 2.8 IS (mk 1) off of craigslist for $2200 - and the guy tossed in a broken 24-105L that I sold for 500$ - making the deal 1700$ for the gripped 5D and 70-200. That was definitely the best deal I've ever gotten!

I don't want to brag, but I feel this is a great place to post this.

I bought a used 70-200 2.8 L IS for $950 from CL. Turns out it was stolen, so the police took it. In return I got a few thousand best friends on POTN and a donated 70-200 2.8 L IS Mark II.

Yeah...pretty awesome.

Signed,

The luckiest guy in the world.

Thanks to all again.

Probably you are :). But I'm 100% sure you wouldn't like to have all those problems from the beggining and still have you previous lens :)

Last month amazon.co.uk incorrectly priced the Canon EF 70-200 f/4 IS; ordinarily they sell it for £939 (that may sound a lot to those of you in the US, but that's the going rate for the lens in the UK), but they priced it up at £634 - a saving of 32%!!! I ordered one as soon as I saw it, and it arrived two working days later. Other people who spotted the offer weren't so lucky; many who placed an order received an email from amazon cancelling their purchase, informing them of the pricing error, however a few people like me got lucky and had their lenses despatched before amazon wised up! :D

My Sigma 24-60 f/2.8 brand new off amazon for $220. :)

Although I did buy some ND filters off kijiji for $20, sold one for $30, traded 2 plus $20 for a nifty fifty which I later sold for $75... lol

Tokina 400mm 5.6 AT-X SD. Bought it from fellow POTN member for 300.00. I have had it for a year and have gotten some great bird shots with it and have learned a lot from using it. It will be interesting to see how the new Bigmos compares when it arrives. If the Bigmos delivers the Tokina will be up for sale and maybe someone will enjoy it like I have.:D
