I just picked up a Nikon SB28 and a SB20, both in perfect working condition and great cosmetic condition for $75USD together...I'm guessing this is a good price but what do you guys think? All I need now is some stands and wireless triggers. I'm probably gonna go with Cactus V2s right now since money is really tight and the V4s are sold out.

Anyone know where I can get some budget friendly stands?

will those eliminate the need for the swiveling heads on light stands that hold umbrellas and all that jazz?

I'd recommend this kit from B&H:

It has everything you need to get started at a good price.

I used to used cheap tripods, but real light stands are so much nicer.

do you guys think that an sb20 and an sb28 would be enough to do some band promo shots? I've got a shoot coming up in the next week or two.

First of all, you got a good deal. Secondly, I agree with Derek...get that kit from BHPhoto.

They should, though it will end up depending on alot of things, such as natural light, weither its outdoors or indoors, ect ect
