In an image, you really need to have a "look at me" portion. What are you trying to show to the user. I don't see that in the first two. Your soccer shot is pretty good, although if you had gotten down a little further and shot up and across at them it would have been a stronger image. I hope that helps. Thanks for the feedback. The first two are really just documentaries of the college grounds and main buildings - for example, as shots for newspaper articles on those colleges. The building on the right is also over exposed. Keble College also suffers from a tilted horizon. The ungrounded tree branches on either side also tend to detract from the visuals. Walk a few steps forward and you'll get a better angle to see more of the college while eliminating the distracting elements. Football Tackle was shot too low (cut off the head of the player in back when there was ample room to point up), and too much negative space on the right. Thanks! The halo was from my initial ideas of HDR - I didn't realise there was software to automatically merge exposures so I did that manually, hence the halo.
