The first one is a bit much, but the second one is pretty cool. It's missing something, but I can't quite tell what. Perhaps the background is too bright, and the ink is too dark? Regardless, awesome idea to play with.

Was the light behind the frame? Perhaps a silver bounce from behind and a honeycomb from the top?

They were both lit the same way. It was natural light coming into my art room with one Bulb pointed onto it. It was ink dropped into a glass of water sitting on a white piece of matte board with one behind it also. Thanks for the replies. Sorry it took so long to respond The second one is my favorite though

Both are cool composition-wise and the shapes are good. They are both out of focus. No matter how much or little ink you used and if it is too much or not, these won't work quite right 'til they are in focus.

I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot. ;)
My family calls me Hen, but you can call me Chicken. See you out there!
