I've just bought the canon 50mm 1.8. No PP.comment really appreciated:)

Yup. These are def OOF.

I'll tell you, I just picked up the 50mm 1.4 recently. And these lens' are very finicky on finding that sweet spot. The DOF is paper thin and you really need to shot a lot to get the feel for it. Try moving the camera (all together) in/out to find that happy medium, instead of rotating the focus ring. It's helped me.

Keep up the work and don't forget to post em when you got em. ;)

Yes, it can be difficult to get the focus spot on with that lens. When it's on, it's amazingly sharp. Were these taken at 1.8?

these were taken at 2.2
