i did a search and did'nt find anything specific about them. sorry if there's already a thread on this. i really did do a search tho. so the deal here is that the new crumplers are out and was wondering how they are to the old ones. i know plenty of people here have the old ones and would like to know how the new ones are better or not better than the old ones. like how the new features are and stuff.

to me i like the new two velcro spots but not really the 2 buckles. personally i think that's just double the work i have to do. i would love to see the same middle buckle but have the two side velcros and not the big ass velcro in the middle because it get loud as hell. personally i dont have one yet but that's just what i feel about it. would like to know others opinions on this.

ok here's another question. how is the new external pockets on the new crumplers? pictures would be nice since i havnt seen anything on them yet, even on their site they dont show it. how much easier or not are u able to store stuff since it doesnt look like there's a flap like the old one? to me the old flap was annoying since i couldnt velcro the big flap when i have a full bag. it always just got in the way and i would use the buckle only.

do the pockets on the side hold much? i think its prolly only good for like lens caps and lens pens or something of that nature. i dont see there be any space when the bag is full since its more of a crevice then a pocket.

last question. does the mesh pocket seem smaller on the big flap this time around? it some looks like it in the pictures.

i myself have the 7mdh and just picked up the 5mdh. i didnt realize the 5mdh was that small till i got it. its kind of a pain to shove my gripped 40d in there. really thinking about moving up to the 6mdh for more storage. might even get rid of the 7mdh for an 8mdh. the 7mdh originally was for my macbook pro and camera but the gripped 40d also became a problem there. i do like the new colors tho. both my bags are the black with tan interior and its a little too boring for me. really love the new grey ones that are out. did the prices go up on these bags? i see some places selling 6mdh for 140 and i remember buying my 7mdh last oct in the bhphoto store for the same price with tax.

p.s. i was thinking of putting up a poll but i dont know where to start.

obsidian.

what do u think of the little side crevices on the new ones? can u fit anything in there? also teh external pouch. is it more like an internal pouch but just seperated from the main part? does it have its own closing flap or is it just an opening and the big flap just closed over everything?

This should be merged since we've been having this convoy for awhile.

The side crevices are pretty small. I usually stick my charger in one side. On the other, I have my P&S. Not wide enough to fit a lens but could probably fit cell phone or anything that small. The pouch on the new one is bigger than the old one and does not have a flap. There is velcro at the top that keeps it closed.

I just picked up the 'old' version of the 7-Mil and I love it. The old color is great and it was under $100 shipped!
