Anyone have any examples of shots taken with the 50mm f1.8 and extension tubes? First let me say, I spend most of my shooting time on little birds. Every spring I want to get into macro, but don't see doing it any other time. I've read a few threads about getting tubes if you aren't sure/not ready to get a macro lens yet. So I'm looking for examples before spending the $180 on Kenko tubes. Thanks

Everyday use: 7D2, 1.4x v3 Canon TC (sometimes the 2x v2 Canon TC), Canon 500mm f4 L IS USM; 6D, 24-105L

Not a canon 50mm F1.8- but a shot I took using ext tubes and an old pentax 50mm F1.8 lens I had when I had to send my macro lens for repair.

Nice one.

I would also be interested in some more samples of 50mm f1.8 mk2 & ext. tubes :)

ahh didn't realize that thread was there. I went ahead and ordered my tubes last week and they arrived today. Plan on shooting this week with them, but the only bad thing is we are supposed to have 20mph+ winds all week (gotta love Oklahoma springtime weather).
