That's right this thread is only for images created with Pocket Wizards new Flex & Mini's.

So for you Radio Poppers users, etc., get your own thread.

Thanks

I'll start - Tonight during an Gymnastics awards ceremony - 580exII's on 8ft light stands set to TTL on the sides of the floor exercise mats (I would guess about 40 plus feet between stands). No misfires in over 200 images. In the past I just nuked the ceiling with the flashes using Bounced light but tonight I directed the lights towards the awards risers. IMHO the images are really fantastic - much better than the bounced.

Finally pics, nice lighting and composition! 4th place, many ribbons! You took 200 shots, we need more from this event. Dare I ask what distance the Mini was to the Flex; which could possibly destroy this image thread? ;)

Mini on 5D and I was moving all around. Two 580exII on Flex's were on 8ft extended light stands angled down and facing each other at the edges of the floor exercise mat (about 40 feet apart).

I posted the image above because the face is obscured.

Glad you guys revived this thread with more pics. They look great!

Palladium, you still liking the PW's? BHPhoto emailed today. They have the mini/flex in stock now and shipped my pre-order out today. Should receive them Monday! :)

Absolutely - but here my situation. My style is to use four 580exII's. Originally I just picked up just 2 of the flex with the mini and planned to pick up the other 2 shortly thereafter but with the current supply situation I'm kinda in limbo waiting for the other 2.

Did you use 2 flex mounts? Would you be able to obtan these pictures useing 1 on a flex and the other 580 as a slave?

I tried my Flex's for the first time at a wedding yesterday. They worked pretty well with only the occasional hiccup. Now I just need to get a better grip on ETTL! Here's a shot making use of HSS.

Firstly to Patrick, sweet photo! That's exactly what HSS is for! I can't wait to take advantage of full-sun wireless TTL HSS myself!

Secondly, the answer as I know it is, no. Each flash on each FlexTT5 needs to be set to regular mode, not master. Therefore, it cannot command a slave.

Which is unfortunate.

I could be wrong, but the manual explicitly states "don't set the flashes on the receivers to master or slave"
