Delta Port - shot on the way to the Tsawassen terminal. Used a 10-22 for this one.

Nice shot, Leftcoast_Mike.

Your photo has some spots, however, that look like sensor dust. There's a few towards the upper-left corner. They're very easy to clone out in Photoshop. Shoot me a PM if you want some help!

thanks!

I'm not sure that it's dust. I shot a ton on Sunday and I didn't see any spots on those but feel free to have a look

I could clone that out, I guess I never thought of doing it before I posted it haha.

the reason you can see the dust in the deltaport shot is due to being at f16. dust spots dont really show up unless you're stopped down a bunch

Good point, Ryan.

I've had sensor dust for a while now (although not nearly as much) and just clone it out every time as I already know where it is.

that's also a good point. I suppose I could clone it when I see it. I'd like to just get it cleaned though. I imagine that means 'sending it in'

It is possible to clean it yourself. However, sensor cleaning is supposedly somewhat risky for someone without experience/training.

Do a Google search for sensor cleaning + your camera model and you'll find a ton of info.

It's really easy to clean the sensor yourself. Wet cleaning is really nerve-wracking the first few times you do it, but is quick and easy once you have done it a few times...I clean my sensor pretty much every time I use my camera.

But before going for wet cleaning, you may just need a few squirts of air from a bulb blower to get rid of those dust specs ;)

(Copperhill make a great sensor cleaning kit...and there are sensorpens too, which apparently work really well)
