Sorry.. not really a photo, but related.. I've gotten tired of my old logo (a), and have been working with making a new one (b). Not a finished product yet, but I can't decide whether it is any better than the old one. Any input?

I'd say the second one just because it's more simple. Sometimes less is more, and it looks much cleaner then the first one.

I didn't choose the second one because of the smoke. I think if it was just the text from the second one it would look really nice. Maybe a different font. Would you mind if I had a go at something?

I like the first one better for some reason. The second one has to much going on in it.

I think if you used the font of Jafari in the first one, used that for the sencond one, used the same smoke inside the text, but got rid of the smoke outside of the text it would look even more amazing.

Confusing I know

Agreed.

The more I look at the second one, the more I like it, actually. However, my first impression was that I didn't like the smoke, so I'd take it out - your logo is people's first impression of you. If you still wanted to leave it in the interior of the text, that would probably work.

My $0.02. :)

I love B. If I were to change it at all, I would try FOTO in a color. The way you have it now is excellent though.

Thanks for all of the comments everyone!
i might play a bit with mritchy's idea and use the Jafari from the first logo in the second with a bit of the smoke.. see what happens. I could also be lazy and just switch the background on the first logo :-)

agree with you being lazy or maybe placing the logo over a transparency, more windows vista style
