I have an opportunity to buy one at about 10% of it's original price. I understand these were great cameras. As of now I own a 450D and (hopefully) plan on getting a 50D next year. I want an "art" shot camera some rods and cones. an iris or two.

Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.
