Firewire is, generationally, better than USB, so Firewire 400 (v1) is not as fast as USB 2, but Firewire 800 is much faster. USB 3 will be on motherboards by the end of the year. Blipfoto

They haven't been "High Speed USB 2.0" but they've been USB 2.0. The last model I'm sure was USB 1.1 was the D60; I don't know where the 10D fit in there. But a card reader will generally be faster anyhow. Jon
