It makes a big difference Peter. I use a Chimera Quick Release speed ring that has the same insert and when I mount it to the Elinchrom's the flash tube is much further forward than with other inserts... and I've tried many. :D

thx Rob, gonna get one next time I order stuff

Hey Aaron, if you get a D-4 first I'd love to check it out!

Wow, someone else from E-ville on here. Where abouts are you? I'm on the far west side, by Posey County line. Definitely will show off the D-Lites if I get them. I'm planning on diving into some lighting this Christmas. Plan on getting some modifiers from Calumet when they have their major sale.

Though if I'm planning on getting two D-Lite 4's a rotalux octa and a kacey BD, I'm already looking at $1500-ish.

Is it possible for a wallet to experience pain? I hope not....

I use my BD and octa quite a bit. It is a good combo.

Don't try to confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up.

U of E-ish area... I'm looking at trying to get some this summer> Have a BD already (and a 7' Westcott parabolic that apparently won't work :/ ) and will be adding some softboxes...
