Nikon's 200-400/4 VR will make Canon release a replacement which I hope will be a 200-400/4L IS. ![]() Super Telephoto Zoom for the win! Do realize that the Nikon 200-400 f/4 is a $6,000 lens, and the 100-400 is about $1450. These lenses may seem similar, but they're in totally different leagues. connecticut wedding photographer

If you want the lens, buy it now. Canon released what they're gonna release for the time being, PMA has come and gone. Next time you might hope to see new product is in the fall. The only real question is do you need the lens before September? Alan "NuReality" Fronshtein

That's why the new Rebel and flash was just announced? Nothing is over but it has been a rumor forever and I think because it still sells, they won't touch it. Not to mention they would need to do more than update the IS and change the Push/pull (which I love) for a new model to sell at a higher or same base price compared to Sigma's line. That may have freaked them out and got them considering how to possible make a cheaper constant ap lens or something. Last Shot Photography
