Brian stays in a shelter by night and is on the streets by day, hail, rain ,snow, whatever
a few times I met him (completely by accident) in busy main area of the city . last time I saw him was in a sudden raging blizzard, he was eating chicken wings in a box. I thought they were already chewed by customers in a nearby burger place
but he told me, no, he had chewed them himself
lol
he seems content and happy enough
(he's 73yrs of age)

Hmm, I'd really like to see deeper blacks in this photo. As of now it looks very soft and washed out to me, but the subject is very interesting.

Nice photo but I would agree that it lacks contrast.

I like it just the way it is Marie, a wonderful charecter study. I think any darker and you would lose all what little detail you had in his coat and cap, and really effect the skin tones.

:)

thanks all very much

I agree with all the comments in various ways
in this case I didn't want it completely in black/white though
I too thought it was perfect subject for same, but no, having tried it (before I posted ) I rather the slight colour... albeit it is a bit flat
