Hello everyone,

I shoot action shots for local sports here. I have a mother who is putting together a graduation for the seniors of a schools Basketball team. She wants to hang a life size image or poster or something on vinyl, canvas or whatever is the best option above their families table at the venue.

In all honesty, I told her I've never done this before but that I could definably help her find an option. Where is a good place to get some big prints that are life size done and what material would be best. She would like something that will last a while and if it could roll up, that would be a plus.

Banner vinyl= Durable, bright, a bit expensive.
Tyvek Banner= Durable, dull, lightweight, a little bit expensive
Canvas= Nice, soft finish, expensive, not as durable as vinyl. Handle with care when rolling.
Heavyweight satin photo paper= bright, cost effective, tears easily, looks great, but handle with care.
Lightweight satin photo paper= bright, even more cost effective, looks great, tears even more easily, works better for mounting on some type of backing. Not good for rolling or re-rolling.

How does she want to hang it?
The banner vinyls are about the only real options if she wants grommets installed.

Obviously, the price will depend on size. Most large print paper size options will be widths of 17, 24,36,42,44, or 60 inches.

Thats one thing I made sure to mention. That it would be pricey. She even said that if it was gonna be too expensive, then even a simple large large print laminated would be ok. I really dont like laminate though because it reflects and you see glare a lot.
