So who are the lucky dogs that will be in Melbourne this weekend? I envy each you that get to attend. We all hope they bring back a race to the states one day.

Mar 27, 2009 07:00 | #2 I work a bit over a mile from the track, and actually run around it at lunch a few times a week (well except for the 2 weeks its closed for the F1). I've never been and really want to, but it seems every year brings on a new way of preventing me from going, and this year is no exception. But the noise even from 1 mile away is amazing. There is always a special buzz around the place when the F1 is here, and this year it is increased as this week is the start of our australian football season. Col

Even on Monday when I was running I saw a high number of people walking around Albert Park with very nice large white lenses. Preparation I assume. Didn't stop me from wanting to mug them though!

Promises to be a good race too, I just hope they won't decide the results on paper... way too much protesting going on. Pull the lever, Kronk!

Yeah it's fence city unfortunately. Takes 'em 3 weeks to put it in, and 2 weeks to take it down. But from what I can see there would be no areas at track level that are not fenced in with 15 foot wire fences with 3 foot concrete barriers. There might be a few good positions from some of the stands if you were lucky enough to get an end seat. Col

They can change the regulations, they can change the cars and they can add & remove tracks... Geoff www.bhppix.co.uk
