This was from a quick shoot I did yesterday for some girls that needed pictures for a support letter, as they are going on a mission trip this summer.

Nice, but it's a shame her right eye is covered by her blowing hair... Has a real youthful and energetic feel to it...

I agree. We were all in a huge hurry as it was cold, windy, and starting to rain. My camera is not too fond of water. It really is a shame that hair was in her eye.

Really like it and I think the brick colouring adds greatly to the overall shot

Face looks hot. Did you use fill? Maybe back it down a little, looks like the face is overexposed. Or maybe she's really just that pale white? Great composition, and sweet posing. Good photo overall. Did you happen to shoot RAW? I'd recommend that for the quick photo shoot. I make so many mistakes I like to have that fall back to change any lighting errors that I make...

Just the humble musings of a beginner...

I actually shot in raw but it my colors always like to get blown out. I don't really know what the issue is. She is very fair skinned. Maybe I just got a little too liberal with the exposure.

Anyway, thanks all! Your comments have been great.

I think this is a good photo (I particular like the bright colors) but as the others have said the hair in front of the eye kind of ruins it for me. Next time, when you are not in a rush, try to spend some more time composing the shot and you've fixed the problem. Also as someone else said as well her face looks a little overexposed.

Here's the original. I don't know if anyone cares, but this might help.
