Sorry, boring subjects :P. It just stopped raining when i shot these. I've never done any hdr shots before this, so please CC me :D. Shot with Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8

This one was shot at f/9.0, ISO 200, shutter speeds 1/250, 1/500, and 1/125.

I am doing a bit of HDR at the moment and I think that your fist one looks a little bit unreal. The clouds, the rail, some of the contours ... they look artificial IMO. In the second shot, the coulds don't look right and as a whole the pic has kind of a ghostly appearance.

I am not sure that you needed HDR for those two particular scenes. A straight shot would be much better IMO. I am getting decent results with HDRs on sunsets and chiaro-oscuros with very strong contrast.

There are large blown out portions of the clouds there that doing HDR should recover.

Perhaps not as boring as you seem to think. The first one is quite nice, and my only complaint would be that it needs to be leveled. Seems to tilt downwards at the left.

The use of HDR processing is not that noticeable.

However, I agree with other viewers that the blown out clouds should not have gotten through the HDR processing. So, in that sense you need to re-think what exposures you need for HDR candidates. The frame with the least exposure should have all highlights under complete control - no blinking Highlight Alerts, at all. Actually, there should be no clipping of any one of the 3 primaries.

Out of curiosity what software are you trying to create HDR's with? Try downloading the trial version of photomatix.
