The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is a pretty awesome lens for the price, if you can get a well calibrated copy

I'll add the EF 300mm f2.8L I.S. and EF 500mm f4L I.S. to the list of recommended lenses.


Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever! ;)

Originally, 'prime' meant the FL of a lens without supplementary 'convertor' optics that would alter the fundamental FL. Later, after zooms become more popular, the term 'prime' got morphed into a 'non-zoom' connotation!

Save up and go straight for the 35L ------ you will think the rest of your lens collection is crap then........wait maybe you should never try an L prime.
