Finally, the opening race meeting of the season is here, and, typically, it was bloody freezing and rained a fair bit. There isn't a huge amount of variety in these shots, I only took pictures at Knickerbrook and Island today. C&C welcome and encouraged as always.

I mentally groaned when I saw the title ,Rich, talk oulton and all that, but I am glad I looked.

Some great looking machinery, with brave use of shutter speeds giving great movement but sharpness in right places.

3 and 4 are my favourites, the Starlet is a great colour and unusual .looks quick.
The pug looks to be flying.

Well done in bringing life into circuit shots, deffo not easy to do ,which is why I stay away from them !

Cheers Pons, I always try to inject a little movement into my shots. There's nothing worse than a car looking like it's parked on the track with barely any movement.

I know what you mean about Oulton as well, for some reason loads of TPF members seem to shoot there nearly every week. There will be a bit of variety from me, I've got plans (some definite) to visit Silverstone, Donington, Spa-Francorchamps, Anglesey and Darley Moor before the end of the season. I'll try and get a hillclimb in as well if I can. I only live 8 miles from Oulton so as you can imagine I do spend quite a bit of time there :)

I know, but I can't make either of the British Hillclimb meetings there this year. I'll be at the F3/GT meeting at Oulton on Easter Monday, and I'll be on holiday on the 14th of June. Shelsley Walsh on the 31st of May looks the best bet for me. If anything changes I'll give you a PM, hillclimbing is something I've wanted to get to for a couple of years now.

Barbon isn't that far from me either but I'll be at Spa-Francorchamps for the 1000km Le Mans Series race that weekend.
