I am in a bit of a niche i think as i do mostly food and beverages, and maybe have an edge there ( i think and i hope) anyway thanks for your update, i think it helps most people who are considering to join......I have about 200 images now which I think would or could be stock worthy, and I'd be happy as hell if it could pay for a 5D in lets say a years time! or some good lenses

I am not doing this alone, adn have a dayjob, plus do some exclusive shoots which also bring in some dollars, all together I think in some time can pay for all my gear, if I play it rght.

which is something i'd be happy with

I hope finally I can afford some L lenses!

I have a friend that takes a lot of food photos, and she does pretty well on the microstock sites, so they definitely have some selling potential.

I realized my shooting style is not really what these stock photography sites are looking for so I just called it quits.
