I logged onto Zoombrowser one night as I always have and the directory window was blank. A message popped up saying "You must register directories". I don't think I ever registered a directory. I have just been putting all my photos in "subs" under the existing "Image Library One". When I try to reregister this (very large) directory it gets about halfway and locks up with an error message. Should a large directory be broken up more?
Any ideas whats going on here? Thanks.

Happy New Year Everyone,

Steve C.

Steve, ZoomBrowser is basically a database program that doesn't know if its folder(s) has been 'recently filled/updated' through the Windows OS (i.e. by downloading from a card reader or copying from card reader to a folder which happens to be in the 'Image Library One' or 'My Images' folders or 'ZoomBrowser' folders) - click the parent folder in ZoomBrowser and click 'View' then Refresh to see the newly added files. All files downloaded thru ZoomBrowser is automatically registered and recognized.

When the new files are placed elsewhere on your computer (other than the default C:\Program Files\Canon\ZoomBrowser\Image Library One\) than you will have to 'register' that folder so that Zoombrowser can access the files in that folder. Consequently you can 'deregister' folder(s) that ZoomBrowser doesn't have to include in its database ...

Hope it helps and a Happy New Year to you and yours!

Paul.
