This is the second of two open-to-the-public rehearsal shows that were held in Asbury Park Convention Hall last week. Being that these were REHEARSALS, there were still some issues with the staging that were being worked out...including the lighting.

Behind the band this tour is a long LCD run of panels that are bright. How bright you ask? How about from my shooting position at the very rear of the venue I took a couple shots at f/11 and 1/6000 sec ISO 1250 that were blown out. THAT bright. So, it was my rehearsal as well. Time to cook up some new formulas!

I got a few keepers though. As always, comments and critique is very welcome.

Nice set there. First look on number 3, I thought it was Elton John on drums. Your either a pro music tog, or they let you in with your camera and didn't mind, which is rare in the UK at least.

Guilty as charged...pro music tog. The camera police where out in force that night. Quite a few cell phone even got taken away to be returned later. Those who didn't give up a camera or cell phone were escorted from the venue.

Not sure what you are saying there, Dwight. Thank you, I think?

Yeah. I have a new best friend in the 200mm f/2 IS L. I honestly think that the with the 1.4 converter, as a 280 f/2.8 it is noticably shaper and with better contrast than the 300mm f/2.8 IS L. The latest IS version might have something to do with that.
