So i am sure this is asked alot here but I am making another thread so I can make sure its clear to myself lol. So I converted the color profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 but when I save it as a jpeg the image turns out flat and looks washed out. Also I am saving at the highest quality "12". I am using cs3 and my screen is not calibrated but the raw vs jpeg still looks alot different. What am I doing wrong?

What software are you converting with? ACR, LR, DPP or something else?

Also, what software are you using to view the finished jpegs, when you say they look "flat and washed out"?

Well I am saving it as a jpeg after opening it up the raw in photoshop and I was just using the windows picture viewer...I am guess these are both wrong lol

The jpg should look identical in PS as the Raw did in ACR before you pressed "open".
What the image will look like in windows picture viewer is a bit of a guess, since that ignores the monitor profile (so is "half" color managed)...

Are you using the "save for web" method? I have found that doing that route, doesn't seem to work as far as showing correct colors on the monitor.

If I'm going to save a RAW to a jpg, I change the bit depth, color profile, save as jpg manually. Takes longer but...

Probably not. Post a small version of the jpeg to the thread.

Depends on how you set Save for web to show the images: It has an option to give a color managed preview or a non color managed preview.
What version PS do you have?

If you print it correct, yes.

Here's your problem:

So I guess you're not converting to sRGB.

AdobeRGB images will look flat in a non color managed application.
Have a read in the link from my sig.
