After some experimentation I have found one treat that Minnie
loves, one she likes a lot and one other she tolerates. She
loves these chicken jerkey things I get from Vons, that are fortified with glucosamine and chondroiton. She also likes these other things I also found at Vons which are kind of like a short, stubby meat stick, which are fortified with vitamins. Go figure, her two favorite treats are something that's actually good for her! She also kinda likes VitaBones. Those are basically the same thing as Milk Bones, but VitaBones also have vitamins added.
Minnie will also eat Frosty Paws, but only if I hold the cup while she licks it. If I set the cup down on the floor, she'll walk away from it. She's such a princess!

Buddy loves those chicken jerky treats too, (I actually tried one; they're not bad...) but we buy them at Costco. The commissary doesn't stock them... He also likes Frosty Paws, although the last couple of nights he's turned his nose up at them. He can be a bit picky...

Was pretty good!! The kewl manager was there.

It's suprising how everything just goes better when you have a manager everyone likes. Everyone is willing to work harder for him ya know? whereas the ass wipe we have the other nights, people just don't give a rip and don't get all the work done. You would think that the yucky managers would be able to see this... but no.

When I worked in the aircraft factory, I had the tendency to do the same good job, no matter what my manager was like. I found if I consistently did a good job, I had a tendency to be more "invisible" to the manager...

That line is just too fuzzy, especially the interpreted part. Seen too many guys (well, three actually) ruin their career over one stupid comment just trying to be naughty. Once complaint and down to HR and out the door.

For sure, there is no way you could fire someone based on another's say so, it would leave a company wide open to a wrongful dismissal charge. If somebody laid a complaint, you would think the employee would be cautioned and warned, and if the offense was repeated then action could be taken.

This has long been an issue with these silly regulations. All it takes is one little personality clash and a valuable employee can be out the door. There really needs to be a review process and a way for innocent people to defend themselves. In this particular instance, we totally reject our basic Constitutional rights and find people guilty with no proof and offer no opportunity to show they are innocent.

It was this same crap that got me fired from Home Depot a number of years ago. I offered to do photography for a couple of the female cashiers and somehow at least one got the idea I was trying to solicit nude photography. When I was called into the manager's office, I was allowed to prepare a written statement outlining my side of the incident, but I was terminated anyway. I feel certain the manager's mind was made up before he ever called me in, especially since I found out later from another employee of the store that the manager had an "affinity" for the young ladies.
To this day I'm still a little bitter about it and avoid shopping at any Home Depot unless I have no other choice. The whole thing caused a sea change in how I looked at my photography and caused me to pretty much quit doing portrait work. To this day I'd rather photograph thing that can't talk (animals, planes, trains, etc...)

Alligators have shorter stubbier noses. Crocs, longer. Saltwater croces have long wide snouts and freshwater crocs have long narrow snouts.
How about this for a long, narrow snout?

We bag, seal and pack the combs for a plastics company in a neighboring town, we get paid to do this work. Sometimes we bag toothbrush holders or soap dishes, sometimes we make little ditty bags with a few things in them, sometimes we do the Goodie comb sets you see in stores. The president and founder of the comb company was an ardent supporter of the Center and basically guaranteed us work ad infinitum. It is great as something to ground and settle my guys in between activities and it brings in a little bit of money.
That's cool!!!

A little D.C. thug tried to steal 2 from the national Zoo back in the early 80's. He put them in a pillow case and upon exiting the bus he threw the bag over his shoulder. They bit him

. I believe he lived but at great expense and effort. I really hope the snakes were not hurt.
Justice prevails!!!

Do the TPBM tribal photographers use a UV filter on their lenses, and if so, does it enhance / detract from shots, as I am well aware that the primary function of them is to protect the lens/camera from UV light.....
I gave up using them years ago when I was having terrible vignetting problems with a wide-angle zoom lens on my 35mm cameras. Once I removed the filters, the problem was gone.

ahhh cool...so they aren't thought of as "essential" amongst photographers then.
Only among the paranoid and OCD...
Permagrin wrote in post #7678335
I don't know, honestly. I just don't use them because of the experience I've had with them. Even good ones. For me, CP's and NDgrads are the only filters I use. CP's on a regular basis...the grads as needed.
Same here, and I don't even use the grads...
