I blame the parents

I do too!!!

We had this cherry tree and one summer there were HUNDREDS of ladybugs on it and they MADE ME WEED under it and the bugs kept flying in my hair and down my clothes!!

I should go on Oprah.

*sigh* Is that the best you can do? There are so many other things that we did that deserve note....

I saw an episode of Hewell Howser's show a few months ago when he visited a site in the Sierras where people go to harvest ladybugs to sell to gardeners. There were millions of them there! I thought it was pretty cool. I'd like to see that!

For those not in California: Hewell Howser has a show on the local PBS stations called California's Gold that's all about things to see in this state.

My folks replaced our roof one summer. My stepdad tore it off himself and left the shingles all over the yard for weeks. Then bro and I were forced to clean up the shingles. They were infested with snakes! Every time we picked something up, a snake snuck out.

Now, that would probably freak me out! What kind of snakes were they?

Just garter snakes...the ones with the yellow stripes. The worst part was, my bro wasn't afraid of them and kept catching them and putting them in a jar.

ok, stopping now...I'm making my skin crawl.

Awwww, garter snakes ain't nothin'. I've seen plenty of them in Griffith Park when I used to take Ashley there every morning for our walk...

Well, ok. I never actually handled 'em. I don't mind seeing snakes, but I'm not about to touch 'em! Not even Bobbert.

I once told Aidan that he had ladybugs in his butt so that he'd want to take a bath to get them out. He freaked out. I felt aweful.

TIFF!!! That's horrible. :) Funny, but horrible.

I did something similar. My then 4 y.o. son was playing with our x-mas tree and i warned him multiple times to leave it alone and do not squeeze behind it. We were prepping for a big family party at the time and they were to come over in less than an hour. From the kitchen i heard the crash and found my son, in the corner where I had repeatedly told him to stay out of and the 11 foot tree on it's side with broken glass ornaments everywhere. I was pi$$ed and blurted out that Santa saw what he did and is not coming to our house. He was devastated. I felt horrible.

I know. He just screamed and cried. I was such a bad mom.

And, oops on the santa thing.
